Are students allowed to have food and drink in the library?

Light snacks and covered drinks are permitted in the library. Of course, we appreciate your being responsible and cleaning up after yourself out of respect to others using the space.

Yes, our Recreational Reading section is located on the main floor of the library, to the left of the Circulation desk.

Yes, the cases are located on the top floor of the library and may be checked out for 5 days at a time with no renewals.

Quiet study areas are located throughout the library, but especially in ‘the stacks’, where the books are located.

Why can’t I access e-resources found in One Search?

One of the most common issues with accessing e-resources is not signing into One Search. Can I search all of the Wessels Library resources in One Search?

Yes. One Search allows you to search across multiple databases as well as the library catalog at the same time.

How do I get into the library after hours?

Access to the library after hours is available to Newberry College students, faculty, and staff with a valid ID card like this.

Yes, you can renew library materials online by signing into your library account. You can also get assistance with this at the Circulation desk or by phone.
